la SHED architecture

La SHED is formed by three young associate architects and co-founders, and was born of a shared passion for architecture, design, and the city of Montreal. The studio believes in a new kind of relationship with architecture, one in which it would be just as natural to consult an architect as it would be to consult an accountant. One in which it would neither be luxurious nor utopian to design your living space in your own image.

The Mandate

The Au Gré des Champs cheese factory project earned la SHED a place in the prestigious AZ design international competition. To complete their application, contestants were not only invited to submit photos, but also a video presenting their chosen project.

And this is how we ended up creating a video presentation of the project. Developed collaboratively with the firm's founders, this video is a way to showcase and share this beautiful piece of work. The video was imagined by both parties without any explanations or titles. Showing only the daily life of this barn was plenty: a sober approach, in the image of la SHED.
